Live Chat with the Commanding General?

I am interested in starting an on-line chat session for about an hour a week - is there any interest?

it would be an awesome idea.

it would also give others a chance to talk to each other about army issues while remaining anonymous, and being to talk more freely with no bureaucratic consequences.

i would love to be able to speak my mind about my piers and how jacked up they are.

Why not? I would love to hear first hand what our Commander thinks about issues we face today in Iraq.

I'd be interested in a chat session as long as it is not just listen to people complain. I'm more interested in hearing why, if we ever plan on leaving Iraq, we keep on building. Does AAFES really need a True Value Hardware on VBC??

I think that it would be a great idea to hear from you weekly. It might help me understand on what the heck the army is teaching young soldiers today.

You wouldn't believe what the soldiers think that they can get away with. From disrespect to officers in a on post eating establishment, to behavior that is close to conduct unbecoming a soldier. Where do we as leaders have to stop coddleing them and make them accountable for their actions. I am having a hard time trying to justify why I am still in this uniform. As NCO's we have lost the right to correct soldiers or are so affraid of the repercussions from the higher up in the chain of command.

I have wittnessed a few Great NCO's loose their stripes for trying to make a soldier accountable for his actions. I think that it has alot to do with the fact that the army is promoting soldiers too fast.

The chat function was developed to support low bandwidth and is compatible with military servers so that deployed soldiers in Iraq, and soldiers in CONUS and OCONUS locations can participate in the live chat sessions.
Will it work in Iraq

I say why not? Will it work for those of us deployed? Can we access from work?

Thank you for all you have done. Especially for taking care of and supporting each other during your long journey in Kirkuk. I know that a simple Thank You hardly seems like much, but it truly comes from my heart. My daughter, Sgt Jasmin Ringlaben, traveled with you on your journey. You will never know how grateful I am that she came home. Since one person does not fight a war alone, I owe each and every one of you a debt of gratitude. My prayers continue to be for all of you. THANK YOU!
